Dr. Waleed Ismail Kamel Ibraheem

Dr. Waleed Ismail Kamel is an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and a consultant pediatric and congenital cardiac surgeon at Ain Shams University, Cairo, where he has worked in the cardiac surgery unit since 2008. He holds a doctorate in cardiothoracic surgery from Ain Shams University. His practice centres on open-heart surgery in children and neonates — tetralogy of Fallot repair, transposition of the great arteries, septal defect closure in low-weight infants, and the Ross and Ozaki valve procedures. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed international and Egyptian journals including the Journal of Cardiac Surgery, Heart, Lung and Circulation, and the International Journal of Child Health and Nutrition. He consults in Heliopolis, Cairo.
